This work dates back to the 1980s and is an original color lithograph—a sophisticated, traditional planographic printing technique that requires each color to be printed separately from a lithographic stone. The artist is the acclaimed South African-born Doris Bloom, who has been based in Denmark since 1976. The piece depicts a sensual, expressive erotic nude. Characteristic of 1980s art, dynamic black contour lines define intertwined human bodies, which merge with vibrant, multicolored patches of pigment. The work is hand-signed in pencil by the artist in the lower-right corner and individually numbered on the left. It comes from a limited edition produced during that period; this is number 86 of 220 copies worldwide, which guarantees its authenticity. A significant feature of this piece is its complete, high-quality framing, executed in Scandinavia. The print is set within a professional passe-partout and housed in a classic, elegant frame with glass. The overall condition is excellent; the piece is clean and ready to be hung on a wall immediately.
