Exceptional freestanding coat rack made of cold-forged iron from 1956. The elaborately crafted construction is set in gold and features numerous artisan-formed volutes, spirals, and twisted iron bands. In the center is a portrait-format, top-rounded mirror with a facet cut and a shelf underneath. Numerous coat hooks with dark end knobs offer space for coats, jackets, and hats. In the lower part, an umbrella stand with a removable drip tray is integrated. Particularly characteristic are the symmetrically arranged forged elements and the central X-motif made of twisted iron with an ornamental rosette. The design takes up Art Nouveau forms but is clearly a work of the 1950s. Condition: The coat rack is in authentic vintage condition with age-related patina and signs of wear. Traces of past decades are also visible on the mirror and the gold-colored frame, preserving the original character of the piece. Dimensions: L120 x W37 x H202 cm
