Here is an iconic Pendant lamp designed by the brothers Achille and Pier Giacomo Castiglioni for the Italian manufacturer Flos. This luminaire is part of the « Cocoon » series, a collection that marked design history with its innovative approach to materials and form. The lamp's organic and sculptural silhouette is immediately recognizable, offering a presence that is both soft and significant.
The lamp is manufactured using a revolutionary technique developed in the 1960s, consisting of spraying a polymer resin onto an internal steel structure. This method creates a unique, cocoon-like diffuser that envelops the light source.
