Product description
This is an authentic Coca-Cola ice bucket, manufactured by the Belgian company Smidt-Imex in the 1960s. The piece is an instantly recognizable example of vintage advertising objects and embodies the Pop Art aesthetic of that period.
The ice bucket is made entirely of plastic and consists of a white inner bucket with a red exterior and a matching red lid. The exterior features the iconic 'Coke' and 'Coca-Cola' logos in the classic Spencerian script. Its production by Smidt-Imex in Belgium firmly places this object in the European mid-century design history.
The item is in a well-preserved condition consistent with its age, with the colors remaining vibrant. It is a complete example with the original lid, which adds to its collector's value. The bottom has some signs of use, see photos. The overall condition testifies to careful use over the years.
