Product description
RARE 1950s ‘COBRA’ DESK LAMP – GEBRÜDER COSACK (GERMANY)
This elegant and hard-to-find Cobra desk lamp was designed and produced by Gebrüder Cosack (Gecos) in Germany during the 1950s. It features a distinctive folded aluminum lampshade with elongated perforations and a white-painted interior to optimize light diffusion. The original light mint green finish adds to its mid-century charm, beautifully accented by copper details.
A flexible brass gooseneck allows the lamp to be adjusted in all directions, offering versatile and practical lighting. Fitted with a standard E27 socket, it combines form and function with effortless sophistication.
This lamp exemplifies the best of mid-century German design, with clean lines, sculptural form, and quality craftsmanship. Its bold yet refined aesthetic makes it a standout addition to any design-conscious interior.
The lamp remains in good original condition, showing only minor signs of age and use, including small paint imperfections and faint marks on the base. The brass gooseneck is fully functional, and there are no dents.
A truly collectible mid-century design classic from the renowned Cosack Leuchten—rarely seen and highly sought after.
