Sebastian Herkner turned our usual perception of materials upside down with his Bell Table design, which in 2012 marked the beginning of the collaboration with ClassiCon and the designer's first international recognition. With the Plissée lamp, he succeeds again in a fascinating way. With the Plissée, the lampshade balances like a sensual, weightless light balloon on a metal base. What makes the lamp so special is that the shade, which is reminiscent of artfully pleated fabric, is actually mouth-blown glass. Extensive fabrication makes possible the material, almost soft effect and thus the implementation of Herkner's vision. A dimmable LED light source provides the individually desired lighting atmosphere. The design of the pleated lamp combines traditional craftsmanship with an industrial component. And last but not least, it bears Sebastian Herkner's unmistakable signature.
The Plissée has a light source of 2700 K, which stands for warm white light.
