ClassiCon model Ran – Peter Naumann - 1993
The iconic 'Ran' desk lamp, designed by German industrial designer Peter Naumann in 1993 for the exclusive design manufacturer ClassiCon. Peter Naumann, who is also known for his fluid and aerodynamic vehicle designs (including for BMW and Honda), has beautifully translated this dynamism into lighting. The sleek conical base houses the heavy transformer and electronics, giving the lamp enormous stability. The slender, flowing reflector shade is reminiscent of a bird's streamlined beak or wing and, thanks to a flexible joint, can be maneuvered completely freely in all directions to perfectly direct the halogen light.
Dimensions: h42 x w40 x d16 cm.
Condition: The lamp is in excellent and completely original vintage condition. The black coating is beautifully smooth with only minimal signs of age, such as some small scratches and dots on the paint. The built-in dimmer in the base and the halogen light mechanism function flawlessly.
