About this seller
ProfessionalProduct description
This is a classic American-style wooden high chair for children, evoking the iconic design of Lambert Hitchcock. The piece is defined by its traditional silhouette and ebonized finish, accented with hand-painted details that give it a distinctive character. Made of solid wood, this high chair combines an ebonized black finish on the frame with the natural wood tone on the seat and tray. The chair features characteristic golden stripes painted on the turned legs and a delicate stenciled floral motif on the backrest and sides of the tray. The tray is removable, allowing it to be used as a standalone high chair. Its dimensions are 94 cm high, 52 cm wide, and 52 cm deep. The overall condition of the chair is good, showing a patina and wear consistent with its age and use, which gives it an authentic character. The structure remains solid and functional, retaining its original decorative elements. The combination of natural wood and the worn black finish tells the story of the piece. Thanks to its timeless design, this high chair is a versatile piece that can serve as a unique decorative element in a rustic, classic, or eclectic interior. It can also function as a unique prop for photography or window dressing.
