Bobbin furniture originated at the end of the 17th century in the US, UK and the Netherlands. The legs and other details were turned on a lathe to mimic the look of a reel. This simple, distinctive shape has stood the test of time, crossing the line between the traditional and contemporary.
It is not advisable to sit on the chairs for a long time, but oh how beautiful they look! Place them in the hall or bedroom to quickly throw on a piece of clothing, or in another nice corner with a photo frame above it.
Although this chair has had a whole life, it is still in top condition! The seat is still perfectly intact. The wood has minor damage in a few places, giving it a more lived-in look.
