Product description
An impressive antique piece, it is a cigarette vending machine made in Spain in 1920. It is a Victoria machine. It is made with enameled and chrome-plated metal parts, a leather strap, and a chestnut brown wooden base; all parts are original. Dimensions: 34 cm long, 15 cm wide, and 22.5 cm high.
The set includes the machine's original instruction manual.
There is a metal hopper on top of the machine. On the front, we see the brand logo named VICTORIA and the name of the manufacturing company, Victorero Hermanos. The Victorero family consisted of twelve brothers, four of whom opened a shop selling tobacco and office supplies in Lastres, Asturias. Around 1910, they founded the company Agustín Victorero y Hnos. to market a cigarette rolling machine designed by Antonio Victorero. The first model was patented in 1915.
The lower part of the machine is also made of metal with a finish similar to that of the upper tank. The rest of the machine is made of chrome-plated metal, with a red Bakelite handle and an original brown leather strap. The operation of the machine is very simple: the tobacco is poured into the hopper, and the crank is turned so that the correct amount falls out. After the paper has been placed in the compartment, you only need to pull the metal rod at the front to draw the paper, which is then moistened and closed to make a cigarette.
