About this seller
Private sellerProduct description
This Cutlery Set is a 19th-century production by the French silversmith Christofle. It is the Pompadour model, a 63-piece silver-plated service, presented in its original box.
The Pompadour model is distinguished by its classic Rococo-inspired aesthetic, with garland and ribbon motifs adorning the handles. The set includes dinner forks and spoons, dessert spoons, as well as several serving pieces. Each piece bears the Christofle hallmark, guaranteeing its quality and authenticity.
The set is preserved in its original box, featuring a compartmentalized green velvet interior to protect each piece. Although the cutlery shows a patina and wear consistent with its age, it retains its structural elegance. The box itself bears witness to its history and journey through time.
This Cutlery Set is a centerpiece for a formal dining table, bringing a touch of French history and refinement. It fits perfectly into classic or Parisian style interiors, complementing fine porcelain dinnerware.
