Christo 1935 -2020 Surrounded Islands Biscayne Bay - Greater Miami Florida 1980 - 83 Offset lithography 1982 61.5 x 90.5 cm (hxw) In good condition CHRISTO (Gabrovo 1935 - New York 2020) Visual artist Education: Christo studied art in Sofia and Vienna Lived and worked in America Christo, whose real name is Christo Vladimirov Javacheff, has been a well-known artist for many years who was born in Bulgaria. Christo always worked together with his wife Jeanne-Claude Denat de Guillebon. The two were always mentioned together, and they worked together until Jeanne-Claude passed away in 2009. Christo 's talent was discovered in his younger years by the artists who visited his mother's home. From 1972 onwards, the couple worked exclusively with the photographer Wolfgang Volz. Some of Christo 's large and well-known works are Valley Curtain and Running Fence. In 1995, the couple was given permission to pack the Reichstag in Berlin.
