Product description
This is an authentic Art Deco coffee pot with rechaud, a beautiful piece of Dutch design. Designed by the renowned Chris van der Hoef for KMD Daalderop in Tiel, this set is a prime example of the refined aesthetics from that period.
The set is made of nickel-plated metal and features a characteristic rattan-wrapped handle, which creates a nice contrast in texture. The rechaud, the holder with burner, has a ceramic ring decorated with sleek, geometric Art Deco motifs in green and orange. The glass insert for the burner is also present, completing the set.
This coffee pot has a lived-in character that testifies to its age and history. The overall condition is good, with a patina that adds to its vintage charm. It is an object that tells a story and adds an authentic atmosphere to any space.
Perfect as a decorative showpiece on a sideboard, in a display cabinet, or as a unique addition to a Dutch Design collection. It fits seamlessly into both classic and eclectic interiors.
The ceramic ring by Chris van der Hoef unfortunately has a break, which has been repaired. Many of his utensils have suffered a break, but in this case, it does not significantly affect its appearance.
A family heirloom we were only allowed to look at!
