Product description
Superb vase featuring a rich decoration of blooming peonies, birds, and foliage against a deep blue background.
The particularly refined composition draws inspiration from the grand themes of Chinese decorative art, where the peony, a symbol of prosperity and abundance, is juxtaposed with brightly colored birds in a lush landscape. The whole is enhanced by delicate geometric and floral borders, as well as gilt brass mounts.
The interior is entirely glazed in a luminous turquoise blue, characteristic of the fine cloisonné work of the early 20th century. With its generous dimensions and rich decoration, this vase is a true collector's item and a remarkable decorative object, equally at home in a classic or contemporary interior.
