Product description
A beautiful antique Chinese set of hardwood side tables.
The tables are made of dense hardwood, likely hongmu or rosewood.
Each table features a refined, openwork frieze with classical motifs. The legs are elegantly designed, testifying to the refined craftsmanship of the late Qing period and attesting to exceptional quality and traditional Chinese craftsmanship.
Thanks to the stepped design, the tables can be neatly stacked when not in use, and they also offer versatile functionality as side tables, plant tables, or coffee tables.
The rich, dark, polished finish emphasizes the depth of the wood and the carving, making this an ideal showpiece for both traditional and modern interiors. Dimensions (Height x Width x Depth):
* Table 1 (Large): 72 x 41 x 41 cm
* Table 2: 62 x 34 x 34 cm
* Table 3: 52 x 28 x 28 cm
* Table 4 (Small): 42 x 22 x 22 cm
Condition: The largest table (72 x 41 x 41 cm) requires some attention: a few joints have come loose from the frame due to the natural movement of the wood (age).
Although this is a visible trace of time, it does not affect the elegant shape of the table. The construction is still present, but for heavy daily use, minor reinforcement or restoration is recommended. The other three tables in the set also show some signs of use but are significantly sturdier.
