Product description
This is the Chili lounge chair with matching footstool, a design by Paul Falkenberg for the renowned Dutch manufacturer Artifort. The set, introduced in 2009, is an example of modern Dutch design, recognizable by its playful and organic forms. The lounge chair and the ottoman are upholstered in a soft, bright red fabric that accentuates the flowing, triangular lines of the design. The seats rest on a minimalist base of curved, chrome-plated metal, which creates a floating effect and a stable foundation. The sculptural form offers a comfortable and enveloping seating experience, characteristic of Artifort's designs. The overall condition of the set is good, with upholstery that has largely retained its vibrant color. The construction is solid and the original forms are intact, testifying to the durable quality for which Artifort is known. The set shows character befitting a piece of furniture that has been used with care. This Chili set is a striking addition to a modern or eclectic interior. The lounge chair functions excellently as a comfortable reading chair in a living room or as a colorful accent in a study or bedroom.
