Chantalle Smeets has developed a style all her own, which is visible in her sculptures of bronze, stone, ceramics and wood. Her source of inspiration is man and nature. Her art radiates in joy of life, strength and beauty, in its own and unique character. The stillness of her sculptures can offer a moment of introspection and peace, a touch of something greater beyond thought. That which nature can also offer us and the necessity of man in connection with nature. She would like to share this through her art. Together with her partner and artist Martiene Stevens, she runs an Art House Trobar. She has exhibited at various galleries and castles (also sculpture gardens) in the Netherlands, Belgium and Spain and her sculptures increasingly travel throughout Europe, America and the Canary Islands.
