Handcrafted Belgian glazed stoneware, signed Dubois, potters for 13 generations in Bouffioulx, near Charleroi.
Round, fairly deep shape with five indentations, decorated with an incised and glazed design in blue, brown, and beige featuring a naive and symbolic iconography, depicting a swaddled infant in its cradle surmounted by a stylized flower with protective value, making it a suitable gift for a birth or christening.
