This sculpture is made in the style of the renowned Amsterdam workshops of the early 20th century.
The piece has a very distinctive finish. Although the base is made of plaster, it has a high-quality patina with a bronze appearance and beautiful wear on the nose, forehead, and chest, where an underlying gilt layer (gold leaf or hammered metal) is visible. This gives the object a beautiful aged look.
