Product description
The Chesterfield Pegasus two-seater sofa, manufactured by Whittle Brothers of Warrington, is a classic piece of furniture that embodies traditional craftsmanship. This specific model is distinguished by its raised backrest and the deep, tufted finish typical of the authentic English style.
The sofa is fully upholstered in high-quality green leather, giving the piece a rich and timeless appearance. The construction rests on a sturdy wooden frame, finished with the characteristic rolled armrests and decorative nails along the contours. The manufacturer's original Pegasus label is still present under the seat cushions, confirming the provenance and authenticity of the piece.
The furniture is in good, functional condition with a pronounced patina reflecting age and use. Over the years, the leather has developed a natural character, contributing to the sofa's authentic charm.
This piece of furniture comes into its own perfectly in a classic library, a formal study, or an eclectic living space. It offers a refined focal point that combines effortlessly with both antique and dark, modern interior elements. Seat height 45 cm
