This beautiful chest of drawers presents a robust solid wood construction characteristic of mid-century Dutch design. The piece is defined by its distinctive material combination, featuring a solid wood frame complemented by a contrasting green top surface and tactile leather drawer pulls.
Constructed from pine wood, the cabinet features four full-width drawers, with the top drawer visually divided into two sections. The design incorporates prominent side panels that extend above the main surface, creating a protective gallery edge. The drawer handles are formed from cylindrical wooden dowels secured by thick leather straps, adding a utilitarian yet refined detail to the facade. The piece measures 85 centimetres in width, 74 centimetres in height, and 43 centimetres in depth. The original manufacturer's label, reading 'Erka Eerlijk Grenen', is preserved on the interior.
The chest of drawers remains in good condition, retaining its structural integrity and original character. The wood displays a natural patina developed over time, while the leather handles show appropriate signs of age that enhance the piece's authentic vintage appeal.
