This "Penelope" armchair, designed in 1982, was Charles Pollock's last major work. Its single-wire structure follows the body's movements with elasticity and suppleness. The frame is in chromed metal, the seat in black wire mesh, the armrests in foam. Very comfortable and in good condition, with minor traces of use. Width 56.5 cm, depth 59 cm, seat height 45 cm, back height 81 cm. Pollock revolutionized the approach to office furniture in the 20th century. His work has been exhibited in the world's greatest museums, from the Metropolitan Museum in New York to the Musée du Louvre in Paris.
Some minor wear to the top of the chrome around the seat (see photos).
