Designed by René Roubíček, a leading figure of Czechoslovak glass art, the EXPLOSE chandelier embodies the sculptural innovation and expressive form typical of postwar modernism. Created between the 1960s and 1970s, it reflects the era’s fascination with dynamic structure and light.
Each chandelier was handmade, featuring individually blown glass elements and drawn glass rods anchored to a central metal frame. The result is a striking, radiant composition that diffuses light through its intricate structure. The piece remains in excellent vintage condition, preserving its visual and material integrity.
Originally produced by Lustry n.p. Kamenický Šenov for luxury hotels and representative interiors, this chandelier stands as a rare and collectible example of Czechoslovak glass design.
