Product description
A classic plywood chair designed by Egon Eiermann and manufactured by Wilde + Spieth, Esslingen. The organically shaped seat and back shell, made of molded plywood, exhibits Eiermann's characteristically minimalist, functional design. The construction follows the principle of visible screw connections and clear structural integrity – honest, light, and true to the material. The frame is made of bent plywood with a warm, medium-brown tone. The seat and backrest are painted white, creating a striking contrast between the structural elements and the painted surface. The underside is branded with the "BUND" mark, and the original Wilde + Spieth label is also present on the underside of the seat – a clear indication of authentic production. A functionally sophisticated, timeless design object with an architectural character – suitable for individual use or as a set.
Condition: Significant signs of age-related wear. The white paint shows chips and patina, visible scratches, and edge wear. The wood structure is sound, and the construction is solid and functional. Authentic vintage condition with genuine signs of age.
