Saint-Amand-les-Eaux, 1930s. The Céranord factory there produced recognized fine earthenware, of which the Parame model is one of the most elegant expressions. The stamp on the back, with its characteristic swan and the mention 'Made in France,' places this piece within the quality production of the interwar period. The decoration shows great graphic coherence. On the ivory background, a frieze featuring rhythmic green vertical bands, small stylized ocher flowers, and a brown line runs along the entire rim. The lines are crisp, the colors bold, the whole presenting a geometric elegance characteristic of Art Deco aesthetics applied to tableware. Its form is that of a compote dish on a pedestal, approximately 24 cm in diameter and 8 cm in height. The earthenware is thick, well-glazed, with the sturdiness typical of quality French industrial productions. The piece is in very good condition, with no cracks or chips noted, only the slight marks of time consistent with its age. Placed on a sideboard or at the center of a set table, it asserts its presence with the understated elegance of beautiful objects.
