The intense cobalt blue that lines the interior of this bowl and covers the upper part of its body is of a rare depth. Against an ivory white background, roses bloom in shades of ochre and pale pink, their leaves drawn with a confident brushstroke, their outlines highlighted with a brown line. The handles, rim, and base are enhanced with generous gilding that catches the light and gives the piece its artisanal luxury character. The handwritten signature Arnaldo and the inscription 'Pintado a mano' — hand-painted — inscribed directly onto the clay attest to the singular work of a Spanish artisan. Each signed piece is unique, stemming from a vibrant ceramic tradition in the workshops of the Iberian Peninsula from the 1960s to 1980s. Diameter: approximately 19 cm. Height: approximately 10 cm. Good general condition. Slight wear to the gilding on the upper rim. Small chip on the foot, visible in the photographs, without affecting the piece's integrity.
