Product description
Charming decorative figurine in vintage Meissen porcelain, crafted during the 1960s / 1970s in the style of the famous animal creations by the Karl Ens manufactory.
This delicate statuette depicts a budgerigar with two-tone plumage, combining a bright sky blue with soft grey and beige hues on its back. The bird is captured in a natural posture, perched on a budding tree trunk adorned with small green leaves and enhanced on the front by a small, vivid red berry or cherry that adds a magnificent touch of contrast.
The texture work on the wings and the satin matte finish of the glaze are characteristic of mid-century Germanic productions. The raw white porcelain base does not show a factory stamp, which is typical of independent craft pieces or those intended for export.
Features:
• Style / Inspiration: Karl Ens (Germany)
• Subject: Budgerigar on a branch
• Material: Hand-painted porcelain
• Period: Circa 1960-1970
• Dimensions: Height 13 cm | Length 7 cm | Width 5 cm
• Condition: Splendid vintage condition. The porcelain is perfectly sound, without any cracks or chips, the colors have retained their original softness.
