Product description
This ceramic relief wall sculpture by Neubauer, created during the 1970s, presents a richly textured botanical composition rendered in sculptural ceramic panels. The work combines naturalistic floral forms with expressive glazing techniques, resulting in a surface that feels both painterly and architectural.
The composition unfolds across multiple ceramic tiles, forming a unified relief in which leaves, flowers and organic motifs emerge in layered depth. The glazing displays a vibrant palette of greens, warm reds, ochres and subtle blues, producing a complex patina that enhances the tactile quality of the ceramic surface. Light interacts beautifully with the relief, accentuating the sculptural contours and variations in glaze.
Framed within a metal structure, the piece carries the characteristic experimental spirit of 1970s ceramic wall art, where craft, sculpture and interior design converge. The result is a striking decorative object that functions equally as a sculptural artwork and a statement wall piece.
