The ceramic cup made in the 1970s, manufactured in Norway.
A stylish ceramic cup with a classic, slightly bulbous shape, characteristic of functional design from the 1960s and 1970s. The exterior is covered in striking glaze in deep shades of bottle green and navy blue, with a delicate colour transition and a subtle, luminous sheen. The dark interior emphasises the depth of the colours and lends the whole piece an elegant, slightly ‘Scandinavian’ character. The proportions are very pleasing – the cup sits comfortably in the hand, and the comfortable handle complements the harmonious, refined form. It is an item that looks beautiful both in everyday use and as part of a vintage ceramics collection.
