MID-CENTURY CERAMIC TABLE LAMP BY AGNE ARONSSON, SWEDEN (1960s)
This beautifully crafted small ceramic table lamp was designed and handmade by Swedish ceramist Agne Aronsson (1924–1990) in his Bjärnum studio around the 1960s. Made from high-quality stoneware, the lamp features a refined dark brown glaze that highlights its organic form and rich, earthy character. The base is incised with Aronsson’s distinctive AA monogram, confirming its authenticity.
It is paired with what is likely its original vintage sisal clip-on lampshade, a natural complement to the lamp’s minimalist Scandinavian aesthetic. Together, they create a warm, understated presence—ideal for a side table, nightstand, or reading nook.
This piece is a timeless example of mid-century Swedish ceramic design, embodying the quiet elegance and masterful craftsmanship for which Aronsson is celebrated.
Both the lamp and shade are in very good vintage condition, with only minor signs of age and no cracks or repairs.
