About this seller
Private sellerProduct description
This is a wardrobe from the Japanse Serie, model KU10, designed by Cees Braakman for the Dutch manufacturer UMS Pastoe. The design is a characteristic example of Dutch Design from the mid-20th century, recognizable by its clean lines and minimalist aesthetic. The cabinet is made of warm wood veneer, combined with white lacquered upper cabinets that provide a light and spacious contrast. The entire piece stands on a slender, black metal base that gives the furniture a floating character. The interior is functionally arranged with a hanging section, various shelves, and a mirror on the inside of one of the doors, providing a complete storage solution. This piece of furniture is in good vintage condition, with a patina consistent with its age and use. The original finish and the characteristic black, square handles have been preserved, contributing to its authentic appearance. The construction is solid, and the cabinet is fully functional. With its ample storage options and refined design, this Pastoe cabinet is a stylish addition to a bedroom or a spacious hallway. The design fits seamlessly into an interior with a preference for Mid-Century Modern, Scandinavian, or Dutch Design.
