This vintage ceramic tealight holder by CCE combines an organic teardrop shape with a refined graphic pattern. The contrast between the matte black exterior with white lines and the smooth, cream-colored interior makes this object a striking decorative element.
The tealight holder is in good vintage condition, retaining its original character and finish. The construction is intact and the object is ready for immediate use. A modern tealight in an aluminum sleeve fits partially into the hole; without the aluminum, it fits completely.
The signature "CCE" refers directly to the Coöperatieve Ceramische Eerste (CCE), better known as the Eerste Coöperatieve Pottenbakkersorganisatie (First Cooperative Potters' Organization). The maker/studio: CCE was a collective or association of Dutch potters and artists that was active particularly in the second half of the 20th century (1970s and 1980s).
