The Castelli DSC 106 chair, designed by Giancarlo Piretti in the 1960s, is an iconic piece of Italian design. This model is known for its innovative construction and timeless aesthetics, making it a sought-after object for lovers of mid-century modern design. This specific chair is crafted with a cast aluminum frame and steel legs, providing a robust and stable base. The seat and backrest are upholstered in a grey wool fabric, neatly finished along the edges. The combination of metal and textile gives the chair an industrial yet warm character. The original Castelli mark is clearly engraved into the metal, confirming the authenticity of the piece.
The chair is in good condition, commensurate with its age and use. The original finish and patina contribute to the authentic character of this vintage piece of furniture. The construction is fully functional and structurally intact.
This Castelli DSC 106 chair fits perfectly into various interior styles, from industrial to Scandinavian and modern. It is a versatile piece of furniture that comes into its own at a dining table, in a home office, or as an accent chair in a living room.
