Product description
This plaster cast of a detail from the Borghese Laviron vase was purchased in the 1920s to serve as a model for students of the Rotterdam Art Academy.
A copy, visible in the photo, stands in the palace gardens of Versailles; the marble original was discovered in Rome in 1566.
It was sold by Camille Borghese to Napoleon I and is now located in the Louvre.
It is a decorative curiosity to display or hang on the wall.
The photos show that the details have been well preserved.
