Product description
This is a swivel bucket chair, designed by Finnish designer Olli Mannermaa for the Italian manufacturer Cassina in the 1960s. The piece embodies the essence of Mid-Century Modern design with its organic, enveloping form and functional elegance. The chair is an example of Mannermaa's talent for creating comfortable and aesthetically refined seating furniture.
The chair is made with a seat upholstered in black skai, which provides a sleek and durable finish. It rests on a four-star swivel base made of metal, with a combination of polished aluminum and black lacquered parts that offer a subtle contrast. The swivel function adds a dynamic and practical element to the design, making the chair versatile.
Overall, the armchair is in good vintage condition, with a character that testifies to its age and history. The original upholstery and finishes have been preserved, contributing to the authenticity of the furniture. The construction is solid, and the chair retains its original comfort and appearance.
This bucket chair is a refined addition to various interior styles, from Mid-Century Modern to eclectic. It functions excellently as a standalone armchair in a reading nook, living room, or office, where it offers both comfort and a strong design statement.
The height is adjustable from 46 cm x 66 cm max.
There are 2 small holes on the side of the seat and 1 more on the other side.
