About the LC17 Portemanteau coat rack
Reissued by Cassina in 2010, the Portemanteau coat rack is an iconic design by Le Corbusier from 1957. The coat rack is made of solid oak with mushroom-shaped hooks placed at different heights according to the Modulor scale, perfectly combining functionality and aesthetics. Originally designed for the Cabanon, his summer house on the Côte d’Azur, this reissue design combines the bright, playful colors characteristic of compact and minimalist spaces, such as a cruise ship cabin. The coat rack is crafted from oak with a matte black base, while the knobs are finished in white, black, red, green, and blue.
