Product description
This cocotte and its stand were designed in 1954 by Danish sculptor and designer Jens Quistgaard, and were part of the Anker-Line range for De Forenede Jernstoberier. The green-enameled cast-iron cocotte rests in a rattan-covered iron frame, on teak legs, allowing the cocotte to pass directly from the oven to the table. This set is brand-new and has never been used, only as a decorative object in a kitchen. The Metropolitan Museum of Art in New York has an example of this piece in its collection. The dish: width 22.5cm (with handles 28.5cm). Height 14cm. The stand: width 29cm. depth 24cm. height 18.5cm. Rare in this condition, a superb collector's item.
