Product description
Superb ceramic jug vase, designed by the illustrious designer Dieter Peter for the prestigious West German manufacturer Carstens Tönnieshof in the very early 1970s. This piece is a magnificent example of post-war European modernism.
The model stands out with its generous lines, its perfectly integrated handle, and its vibrant, fresh, glossy mandarin orange color. The front features a rich floral relief decoration representing a stylized four-leaf clover, beautifully highlighted by a brilliant cobalt blue enamel with changing nuances, which is also found on the upper rim and the inside of the collar.
The original clay base bears the official molded relief marking of the manufacturer with the two adjoining house roofs and the mention "W. Germany". A superb, highly decorative display piece for ceramic enthusiasts.
