Murano glass and brass chandelier

Important vintage Italian chandelier attributed to Carlo Nason for Mazzega, made in Murano in the 1970s.
The chandelier features a sculptural and strongly geometric structure, composed of four large curved tubular Murano glass elements, symmetrically arranged around a central cylindrical element.
The diffusers are characterized by refined glass processing, with a gradual transition from opaline white to transparent and a particular internal texture that gives the surface depth and a soft, diffused luminous effect.
The four glass elements are inserted into cylindrical brass supports, connected to the central structure. The suspension is completed by a characteristic decorative chain composed of large geometric golden metal rings and a coordinated upper rose.
The formal setting, the use of large modular glass elements, and the combination of Murano glass and brass are attributable to the research developed by Carlo Nason in the field of Murano lighting during the 1960s and 1970s.
