Extendable and convertible dining table in Rio rosewood and birch by Carlo Jensen. Denmark, 1960s, Hundevad & Co. The table base is square, and the retractable, reversible top converts into a black leather-covered game board. The table extends very easily via two integrated nesting leaves to form a large dining (or poker) table for six people. Dimensions (closed): - Height: 71 cm - Width: 80 cm - Depth: 80 cm Dimensions (with both extensions): - Height: 71 cm - Width: 145 cm - Depth: 80 cm Base and central top in solid rosewood with a beautiful grain. Extensions in birch veneered with Rio rosewood of the same grain. Excellent condition with slight signs of age and use (rare). The extensions are darker in color due to less use. Designed by Carlo Jensen, manufactured by Poul Hundevad & Co (model 240). Original edition circa 1960. The underside of the central tabletop is inscribed with the number 66, likely indicating the year of manufacture. The four Rio rosewood chairs by H. Vestevig Eriksen—from the same period—chosen to create a set with this table are also available.
