This is 'Lanterna Magica 3', an intriguing artwork by the Dutch artist Carla Hartjesveld (1944-2004). The work depicts a theatrical scene that invites the viewer into a dreamy, almost surreal world.
The artwork is executed in a detailed drawing technique, in which fine lines and subtle color nuances in brown, beige, and white form the composition. The scene shows a stage with curtains, behind which are various figures and objects, including a bird in the sky and a figure with a fan in the foreground. The work is signed and dated 'CH '80' in the lower right corner and is framed in a silver-colored frame with a passe-partout. It is also signed on the back with 'lanterna magica, Praagcyclus', indicating that it is the third drawing in the series (see photo).
The work is in good condition, commensurate with its age. The frame shows some light signs of wear, but the artwork itself is well preserved and retains its original character.
