About this seller
Private sellerProduct description
This glass pendant lamp was designed by Carl Fagerlund for the renowned Swedish manufacturer Orrefors. This iconic piece of Scandinavian design is distinguished by its textured amber glass shade, offering a warm aesthetic and striking visual presence. The combination of its organic form and rich color makes it a masterpiece of mid-twentieth-century lighting.
The lamp's technical design is based on a double-walled structure. It consists of a thick, amber-colored outer globe, adorned with raised, concave circular motifs, housing an inner cylinder of textured clear glass that diffuses light with great precision. A brass mount crowns the entire piece, highlighting the subtle contrast of materials. Produced in Sweden, this creation perfectly illustrates Orrefors' technical mastery and exceptional craftsmanship in the field of art glass.
The lamp is in excellent condition, reflecting careful use over the decades. The glass retains all its original clarity and brilliance, without any major alteration to its surface. The metal frame displays a natural and authentic patina that testifies to its era of production and adds to the object's historical character.
Ideal for illuminating a dining table, a kitchen island, or a living space, this pendant light integrates harmoniously into interiors with modernist or contemporary accents. It brings an undeniable touch of Nordic elegance and diffuses a soft, enveloping ambient light, subtly structuring the space.
