This upcycled and handcrafted table lamp is part of the Cityscape Collection and unites two worlds of designer Cari Zalloni. The sculptural Steuler ceramics from the 1960s and 1970s, with their stacked, geometric forms, are reminiscent of modern architecture. The handcrafted lampshade picks up on this idea and translates it into a colorful skyline of skyscrapers and urban facades.
The intense red of the original Steuler vase from the 1960s creates a striking contrast to the vibrant colors of the fabric. The result is a design object that uniquely combines mid-century ceramics and contemporary textile design.
``` Each lamp is meticulously handcrafted in a Berlin studio. The collector's value of the original vintage ceramic is fully preserved – no holes are drilled into the vase. Instead, a specially developed, reversible plug-in solution is used to securely anchor the socket without permanently altering the ceramic. This transforms each historical vase into a unique design object with its own story.
For maximum flexibility, the lamp is equipped with a wireless, USB-C rechargeable LED light source. Thanks to the integrated battery, it can be used without a power outlet and can be flexibly placed in living spaces or sheltered outdoor areas such as balconies or patios.
