Upcycled table lamp made from Cari Zalloni ceramic – Cityscape Collection. This extraordinary table lamp unites two design worlds that, at first glance, could hardly be more different – and precisely for that reason, harmonize perfectly. The lamp base was created from an original ceramic vase by Cari Zalloni, one of the most important designers of German post-war modernism. His designs for Steuler Keramik are among the most sought-after icons of West German pottery and are characterized by their sculptural, architectural forms. For the Cityscape Collection, this design language is reinterpreted. The handcrafted lampshade, with its colorful cityscape motif, picks up on the stacked geometry of the ceramic and translates it into a vibrant skyline of skyscrapers, facades, and urban structures. This creates an exciting dialogue between the clean lines of the 1970s and contemporary textile design. The warm ochre glaze of the vase provides a calm counterpoint to the vibrant colors of the shade. Despite its compact size, the lamp possesses an extraordinary presence and is ideal as accent lighting on sideboards, windowsills, bookshelves, or small side tables. Like all our lamps, this unique piece was carefully converted into a lamp. The vase's collector's value is preserved, as no drilling was required. The reversible plug-in solution allows for easy restoration to its original state at any time. The lamp base is weighted for added stability. The lamp is cordless, making it versatile and easy to place wherever atmospheric lighting is desired – on sideboards, windowsills, bedside tables, bookshelves, or as a decorative focal point on the dining table, balcony, or patio. The rechargeable LED bulb is conveniently charged via USB-C and provides up to 12 hours of illumination, depending on the selected brightness. The included remote control allows for individual adjustment of brightness and color temperature – from warm white ambient light to neutral white.
