Cordless Table Lamp in Cari Zalloni Ceramics – Cityscape Collection | 36 cm
This exceptional table lamp is part of the Cityscape Collection and combines iconic German ceramic design with contemporary textile design. The lamp base was created from an original ceramic vase by Cari Zalloni, whose designs for Steuler Keramik are now considered among the most important classics of West German Pottery. With their sculptural, stacked forms and architectural clarity, his objects still appear remarkably modern.
This design language is further developed for the Cityscape Collection. The handcrafted lampshade picks up on the geometric forms of the ceramic and translates them into a colorful skyline of skyscrapers, facades, and urban structures. The dense cityscape is reminiscent of vibrant metropolises and forms a striking contrast to the minimalist form of the vase. At the same time, a design connection is created, as both the ceramic and the textile design are characterized by clear cubes, stacked volumes, and architectural lines.
The intense red glaze of the vase lends the lamp a powerful presence. Together with the luminous shade, this lamp creates a design object that uniquely blends mid-century design, pop art, and contemporary textile design.
The lamp is wireless, making it easy to place wherever atmospheric light is desired – on sideboards, windowsills, bedside tables, bookshelves, or as a decorative accent on the dining table, balcony, or patio.
The rechargeable LED bulb is conveniently charged via USB-C and offers up to 12 hours of illumination, depending on the selected brightness. The included remote control allows you to individually adjust the brightness and color temperature – from warm white ambient light to neutral white. The bulb is CE-certified and can be easily replaced at any time.
Like all our lamps, this unique piece was carefully converted into a lamp. The collector's value of the original Cari Zalloni vase is preserved, as no drilling was required. The reversible plug-in solution allows for easy restoration to the original state at any time. The lamp base is weighted for added stability.
