Product description
Decorative Denbac ewer in enameled stoneware, characterized by a slender and resolutely sculptural silhouette. Its piriform body extends into a narrow neck ending in an asymmetrical spout, while a large arched handle emphasizes the movement of the form. The enamel combines a deep brown with nuanced drips of beige, ochre, and caramel, creating an abstract decoration unique to each firing. Signed Denbac, this French ceramic belongs to the late Art Deco and modernist movement of the first half of the 20th century. However, the signature is not clearly visible in the available photographs. Height: 24 cm. Width: 15 cm. Depth: 13 cm. Weight: 800 g. Good general vintage condition. Some small superficial marks and scratches are visible around the neck and the handle attachment, with usual wear on the base. A small chip or loss of enamel appears on the edge of the spout. Its organic line and earthy tones will naturally find their place on a console, a bookshelf, or a modernist sideboard.
