This is a 'Captain's Bar', designed by Reno Wahl Iversen for the Danish manufacturer Dyrlund. The piece of furniture is a refined example of 1960s Danish design, characterized by its ingenious and space-saving functionality. The Liquor cabinets is crafted from high-quality teak wood, recognizable by its warm color and lively grain structure. The design features elegant brass details, such as the hinges and the fittings on the drawers. When the cabinet is unfolded, it reveals an interior with various storage compartments, drawers, and an extendable surface with a black laminate top, ideal for preparing drinks. The dovetail joints in the drawers attest to the superior craftsmanship for which Dyrlund is known. The overall condition of the cabinet is excellent, consistent with its age. The wood has developed a beautiful, deep patina that enhances the character of the piece. The interior is well preserved, including the original red lining in one of the drawers, which adds a subtle splash of color. When closed, the Captain's Bar is a discreet and stylish cabinet.
