Jihokera Bechyně - Statue, canoeist - Brussels style design 50cm - Ceramics Iconic masterpiece of Czech design from the 1960s, which won numerous awards at the 1958 Brussels Expo and influenced the whole modernist design of the mid-20th century (famous designers Jaroslav Ježek, Jitka Forejtová, Jiří Černoch, Vladimír David etc.). This piece was designed in the 1960s by the Czech factory Jihokera, then operating in the town of Bechyně. Beautiful canoeist of refined and light white ceramic. Figurine has age craquelé but is flawless and numbered 115 at the bottom. Length: 50 cm Height: 21 cm Depth: 19 cm Weight: 1730 grams
