Superb vintage 2 seaters sofa, Kali model, designed by Michel Ducaroy for Ligne Roset. Less known than the mythical Togo by the same designer, the Kali stands out for its compact appearance, its low and enveloping seat, and its decidedly seventies style. A rare piece, with a bold design and curved lines that immediately evoke Ducaroy's universe.
This model is upholstered in white faux leather, is in good general condition for its age, and comfort is guaranteed, thanks to generous foam and a flexible structure without a rigid frame. Perfect for a vintage interior or a design touch in a contemporary living room.
The Kali was designed in the late 70s, following the success of the Togo. An amusing anecdote: Michel Ducaroy reportedly designed this seat after observing the shape of a squeezed toothpaste tube — an unusual inspiration he had already mentioned for the Togo. This more compact sofa was intended for small urban spaces without sacrificing visual impact or comfort.
