Product description
Cado Rosewood Wall System, Denmark, 1960s
Designed by Poul Cadovius, the Cado wall system is one of the defining achievements of Danish modular furniture. Introduced during the 1960s, its innovative wall-mounted design challenged the traditional idea of large, floor-standing cabinets by creating storage that appears to float effortlessly against the wall.
This configuration is particularly well suited for vinyl enthusiasts. The generous upper shelf provides the perfect platform for a record player, while the shelf below offers ample space for records, speakers or audio equipment. The lower cabinet features integrated vertical dividers, allowing an LP collection to be stored neatly and within easy reach.
Crafted in beautifully figured rosewood, the cabinet displays exceptional grain patterns and rich natural colour variation that make every surface unique. Combined with the characteristic triangular shelf supports and the flexibility of the Cadovius mounting system, it is a piece that balances architectural simplicity with everyday practicality.
The wall system has been carefully cleaned, fully inspected and treated with high-quality wood oil to nourish and protect the rosewood.
